BSGE ASM 2019

PECHA KUCHA

Call for Participation in ‘Pecha Kucha’ presentation session at the BSGE ASM 2019, Celtic Manor

We are inviting abstracts from medical students, trainees, non-consultant grade doctors, nurses and paramedics for the Pecha Kucha Oral presentation feature.

This year the Pecha Kucha session will echo the ASM theme of innovation and technology. We invite trainees to submit abstracts with the theme “Dragon’s Den”.

We are looking for interesting, novel and thought-provoking presentations showcasing your inventions, technological concepts or innovative ideas to advance minimal access gynaecology.

This is your opportunity to pitch your idea / innovation to captains of industry and potentially enlist their support in developing your idea in a similar manner to the Dragons Den TV series   If you have a completely novel concept and are concerned regarding talking about your idea in public  please contact Richard Penketh Richard@Penketh.org.uk 07968521751 who may be able to arrange an opportunity to discuss your concept with an innovation group under full Non Disclosure Agreement conditions prior to your decision as to whether to present your concept in the Pecha Kucha session.

The best scoring abstracts will be selected for the Pecha Kucha oral presentation session in the main programme at the BSGE ASM. Presentations will be made to a panel of clinicians and industry expert “Dragons” followed by an interactive discussion. The best-selected presentation will be awarded the ‘Pecha Kucha’ Prize.
